Taylor received her B.S. in biology and was two courses shy of also receiving a degree in chemistry from Clark Atlanta University. Taylor holds an M.B.A. degree from Augusta University.
Taylor's scholarships and trainings are believed to add depth to her novels , i. e., peppered with uncommon details reflective of varied experiences. These include, but are not limited to Taylor being recipient of the Office of Naval Research Scholarship, American Geological Institute Scholarship for oceanography, U.S. Senatorial Scholarship and others, Taylor, subsequently received specialized training, namely, bio-inorganic chemistry from University of Notre Dame and Bermuda Biological Station for Research, now known as Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences, and chemical engineering and project management from Yale University.
Taylor's professional associations have also influenced her storytelling. In retrospect, she worked directly for Harvard alumni H. Westley Clark, M.D., J.D., M.P.H., military chemical weapons expert R. Szostak, Ph.D. and the first female four-star U.S. Army Reserves General, M. Mathewson-Chapman, ARNP.
Currently, Taylor works as a writer and consultant.
As a child Taylor never dreamt of becoming a writer, and as an adult, life is bittersweet.
